自1930年以来, Bullis has provided a distinctive education, first for young men entering the military academies, then as a boarding and day school for boys in Upper and 中学 grades--and since 1983, as a day school for the sons and daughters of the DC metropolitan area.

最近, Bullis has accepted students from the wider world too, giving the school an even more diverse and international flavor. We provide a balanced program that helps our young men and women reach their potential, academic and otherwise. We are proud that through small class sizes, differentiated instruction, and an engaged and dedicated faculty, every student at Bullis is well known on campus and treated as an individual; Bullis is a student-centered school that genuinely cares.

Bio of Christian 沙利文

Bio of Christian 沙利文

Christian 沙利文 began his tenure as head of Bullis学校 on July 1, 2020. A native of England, Mr. 沙利文 holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Durham, a master’s degree in educational management from the University of Bath, and a master’s degree in independent school leadership from Columbia University.

During his career, Mr. 沙利文 has served as an administrator and teacher at independent schools in England, 肯尼亚, 维吉尼亚州, 康涅狄格, and Washington State. Bullis is his third headship, following ten years as head of Annie Wright Schools in Tacoma, WA. An active community leader, Mr. 沙利文 has served on the boards of the Northwest Association of Independent Schools, the Washington Federation of Independent Schools, St. Paul’s School, WA, and Tacoma’s Museum of Glass.

Mr. 沙利文 returns to the DC area with his wife, 丽莎, who grew up in Chevy Chase and was most recently Annie Wright's communications director, 还有两个孩子, 莱西, who is entering graduate school in public health at Johns Hopkins, 和马太福音, who will be a sophomore at Macalester. The 沙利文s are avid skiers and outdoor enthusiasts and are excited to return to the area they regard as home.
